Louie Allen
Guide
Louie grew up near Cincinnati, Ohio and originally found climbing through guided rock experiences with his family. Louie took ownership of his own climbing in the Red and New River Gorge regions before spending nearly 8 years in the Sierra Nevada mountains of California pursuing growth as an alpine climber and guide.
He now splits time between these regions to share the best climbing available each season with his students and guests. Louie looks forward to each opportunity to play outdoors and smile with developing climbers. In addition to his guiding and instruction, he offers individualized coaching and training for rock and alpine climbers to help develop physical and mental abilities in varied terrain.
He is an AMGA Certified Rock Guide and has completed the AMGA Alpine Guide Course and Ice Instructor Course. He holds an MS in Recreation and Sport Sciences and a Graduate Certificate in Sport Coaching from Ohio University, alongside a Performance Climbing Coach certificate.
